Meet Your

Scholarship Coach.

Hi, my name is Lo Easton! With a combination of hard work and a bit of finesse, I was able to earn nearly $65,000 in scholarship money alone. My scholarship earnings totaled with the need-based grants I received from FAFSA relieved every financial burden I faced in college.

Tuition and dorm fees? Covered. Meal plan? Handled. Textbooks that had no business being that expensive? Okay, I think you get the point!

After continuing to apply for scholarships in college, I was able to graduate with $10K in the bank from refund money.

How’d we get here?

It started with a dream.

I dreamed of going to college and pursuing a creative career, but I was soon hit with the realization that my only two options of payment were:

Option A: Burying myself in student debt

OR

Option B: Making something happen.

Like many students, I heard that scholarships were a way to get free money. Despite having doubts in my ability to win, I figured that I didn’t have anything to lose.

Then I made a plan.

I soon began to develop a strategy by learning from my successes and the many failures along the way. I was able to take a step back and realize how I could make the process quicker and easier.

The short story is that two years of applying, adjusting, and applying again led to a fully funded education at the University of Houston.

Now, I’m here to share.

After graduating in 2020, I began to reflect on my journey. Along the way, I just so happened to stumble across the right people and organizations that helped me believe in myself.

I’m pursuing scholarship coaching so that I can provide the same guidance to students that need support as they begin their journey.

At the forefront, Finesse Your Education is a platform for students to access free game, motivation, and resources. I’m also able to further assist students in their pursuit of financial freedom through one-on-one coaching, advising, and editing services.

The bigger picture.

For the first time in my life, I didn’t have to worry about where the money was coming from. Not only did earning scholarship money help ease the stress of college, but it also put a little extra pep in my step.

Like, I did that. And no one can take that away from me. The award earnings were a pretty penny, but the confidence gained from my scholarship journey was priceless.

I’m here to show you that you can do it too.

No, you don’t need to invent a time machine or run a mile in a minute. You just need to be ready to work towards what you want without any excuses or doubts knocking you off your path.

And me? I’ll be here to guide you along the way.
